It's been a big week for set-photos – with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past leaking online – now it's Captain America's turn. The sequel sees the Captain (Chris Evans) team up with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) to track down the despicable Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Shan) in present day Washington, D.C.

We have already heard tell of Joss Whedon's plans to introduce Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, alias Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, into The Avengers 2. He has plans for the characters and the way they will impact the core team, it seems like a well thought out, character-focused approach. Marvel are not in the habit of throwing out endless superhero cameos to pad out their movie, they choose wisely and have proven themselves keenly interested in putting character first.

The latest Man of Steel trailer brings grave warnings to our planet.

The new trailer for The Wolverine covers a lot of similar ground to the previous one, but there are some interesting additions that elevate it above your standard hack-n-growl Wolverine trailer.

You can't have a movie without about twenty character posters to promote it. Recently The Hangover Part III deigned to make a giraffe used in a joke worthy of a character poster. At least these Man of Steel character posters are on-point. For now.

Jennifer Lawrence is back in the full blue body make-up in X-Men: Days of Future Past. You're welcome.

By the time Amazing Spider-Man 2 is released will it stand as the most leaked movie of all time? A crew member cannot sneeze these days without set photos being released to painstakingly chart the trajectory of the mucus. Today, we have even more. Not mucus, no, that would be gross.

Marvel's ambition shows no sign of stopping after The Avengers 2 conquers cinemas in 2015. During an extensive interview with EW, Kevin Feige discussed the studios future plans. Let's break it down, for ease of reading.

With Iron Man 3 being the first solo Marvel adventure to cross the billion dollar mark, Marvel have clearly proven themselves the new kings of summer, and so thoughts turn to the follow-up to their original smash-hit. The Avengers 2 is not due for release until 2015 but people just can't stop talking about it.

I was very disappointed last year. Like many others I found it disheartening that last year's Dredd, starring Karl Urban, proved disappointing in its box office takings. Against a budget of $45 million, the comic book film grossed only $36 million. It did have a tough draw with it being an 18 certificate, but a lack of 2D showings and next to no marketing didn't help. Queue much crying and cursing.
