Never let it be said that Vin Diesel knows what is best for Vin Diesel.
Paul Walker, however, knows full well what is best for Paul Walker and that opportunities for reliable work will not come freely to a man of his modest abilities, so he returned to the Fast & Furious franchise without hesitation. He is, in essence, a less ambitious Keanu Reeves and that is just fine with me.

Christopher McQuarrie is better known as the Oscar-winning writer of 1995's The Usual Suspects. He also has some directing chops with the very underrated Way of the Gun back in 2000. It wasn't until last year's Jack Reacher that he got back in the saddle. The movie was critically well received and made a decent amount of money, raking in over $210M worldwide. Plans for a sequel are still up in the air so McQuarrie is looking for other projects to use his many talents on and he may have found one or two.
