The Wolverine marketing has kept it low-key and visually arresting, from the rippled first look, to the stylish Japanese-style art of the teaser, they have impressed the idea of a more nuanced and thoughtful Wolverine movie. A far cry from the fat-man boxing debacle of X-Men Origins.

It seems that Sirs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan won't be the only X-Men alumni to be returning for upcoming franchise entry Days of Future Past with a host of familiar mutants rumoured to be returning.

Whatever you thought of The Amazing Spider-Man (personally, I thought it wasn't the Spider-Man I grew up with, but it was a valid reinvention and a sturdy foundation for a new franchise), I am sure we can all agree that Martin Sheen's Uncle Ben was one of the absolute highlights. In fact, I would say it is the one area that Marc Webb's reboot betters Sam Raimi's original trilogy.

Good news! Sheen has confirmed that he will be returning to play Uncle Ben in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

man of steel - official poster slice

Since Warner Brothers announced Christopher Nolan would be producing the upcoming Man of Steel, there has been much discussion over the similarities between his own Batman Trilogy and Zack Synder’s version of Superman.

Nolan has been doing some press for the Blu ray release of The Dark Knight Rises and was asked by the guys at The Playlist whether Man of steel fits into the same universe as Batman.

Joss Whedon - The Avengers 2

Joss Whedon is one busy chap, that's for sure.

Ladies, gentlemen, geeks and anti-hipsters, welcome to another Panels To Frames, where a bald and angry comic geek froths at the mouth for your amusement. This week I'd like to talk to you about comic book movie merchandise. This stuff and I have quite a history, to be honest. As well as being a lifelong nerd, I worked in a comic shop for nine years and spent my every waking moment surrounded by action figures, statues, graphic novels and endless other bits of licensed treasure.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has found its Harry Osborne in the shape of Dane DeHaan, star of the Superhero movie with a difference, Chronicle.

Now this is a striking image. The latest poster for Man Of Steel, the Zack Snyder-directed/Christopher Nolan-produced Superman reboot, shows the last son of Krypton under arrest by the military.
