
Marvel's ambition shows no sign of stopping after The Avengers 2 conquers cinemas in 2015. During an extensive interview with EW, Kevin Feige discussed the studios future plans. Let's break it down, for ease of reading.

With Iron Man 3 being the first solo Marvel adventure to cross the billion dollar mark, Marvel have clearly proven themselves the new kings of summer, and so thoughts turn to the follow-up to their original smash-hit. The Avengers 2 is not due for release until 2015 but people just can't stop talking about it.

I was very disappointed last year. Like many others I found it disheartening that last year's Dredd, starring Karl Urban, proved disappointing in its box office takings. Against a budget of $45 million, the comic book film grossed only $36 million. It did have a tough draw with it being an 18 certificate, but a lack of 2D showings and next to no marketing didn't help. Queue much crying and cursing.
