
With Iron Man 3 being the first solo Marvel adventure to cross the billion dollar mark, Marvel have clearly proven themselves the new kings of summer, and so thoughts turn to the follow-up to their original smash-hit. The Avengers 2 is not due for release until 2015 but people just can't stop talking about it.

This latest offically sanctioned set photo from X-Men: Days of Future Past reveals Nicholas Hoult's Hank McCoy taking a stroll through the X-Mansion's underground corridors with none other than (The) Wolverine.

Bryan Singer is at it again with more teaser twitterings, this time sharing pictures of two more returning X-Men, Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) and Young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy).

A week ago Joss Whedon hinted at what new additions to earth's mightiest heroes he would be including in the sequel. Whedon said that his first draft of the script contained "two of my favorite characters from the comic book, a brother/sister act".

Speaking at the Iron Man 3 premiere, he confirmed that he had just finished the first draft of his script for The Avengers 2. When asked if the success of the first film (which earned $1.5 billion worldwide) had any effect on his writing of the sequel, he replied: "I try not to think of it as topping 'The Avengers,' I try to think of this as its own movie."

With production of X-Men: Days of Future Past now under way, if you bet that Bryan Singer would be tweeting less you'd be losing your money. It has done nothing to slow him down. If anything it's had the opposite effect!

It looks like The Following's Adan Canto is going from serial killer to superhero, as he tweets about his involvement in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Bryan Singer loves to tease X-Men fans with his tweets. On Friday, Singer tweeted what could only be the exterior of the Cerebro set. For the forgetful or unfamiliar, Cerebro is the spherical telepathic conductor that Professor Xavier uses to find every mutant on the planet; it was a crucial plot point in X2 and we saw it in a crude, stripped down version for X-Men: First Class.

The new Wolverine movie, aptly (and somewhat confusingly for some people, it would seem) titled "The Wolverine" is almost upon us, and promises to be a very different film to the critically annihilated "X-men Origins: Wolverine" from a while back. To be honest, after that and X-Men: The Last Stand, Wolvie has some ground to recover.
