Concept art is a very underrated and little spoken of element of film-making. Unless you have an interest in art and design - or are perhaps an artist/designer yourself - it’s unlikely you’ll have come across it very often. A specially trained concept artist will interpret the ideas of (usually) the director and bring them to life on paper for the rest of the crew to use to help create the look and feel of a film.

It sounds like a lost James Bond novel, but Snowpiercer is actually the name of a train carrying the last of humanity around a post-apocalyptic, second-ice-age earth.

Korean master Bong Joon-ho is a wonder at tackling (and mashing) different genres: Memories of Murder (2003) is a serious crime thriller with a nonchalantly supernatural bent, while 2006's The Host was a terrifying monster movie (with a Spielbergian family drama core) which never lost its mordant sense of humour.

Then in 2009 he released his masterpiece Mother, a darkly funny crime thriller, blending horror, humour and real emotional weight.

But no one could have seen this one coming: A deconstruction of the class system disguised as a sci-fi action thriller. Knowing Bong, it will also be hilariously funny and have a ghost or two thrown in for good measure.

Hayley Atwell has confirmed that she won't be appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the hunt for a female lead continues.

No, that's not a spoiler, it's the name of the film. Which is, also, a massive spoiler.

Baz Luhrmann has been known to slap together different genres and media to achieve his unique vision for some time: One of the best scenes in 'William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet' had a Radiohead soundtrack, and who can forget Jim Broadbent crooning Like A Virgin in Moulin Rouge (no matter how much you may want to)?

Well, the Australian auteur has gone one step further this time. Apparently he enjoyed the anachronistic quality of setting Kanye West & Jay Z's No Church In The Wild to the first Great Gatsby trailer so much, he asked Mr Z to compose the entire soundtrack.
