The Legend Ends, The Dark Knight Rises Marketing Begins

12 Dec

The Dark Knight Rises marketing campaign has really stepped up in the build up to the New Year, with new viral marketing offering devoted fans a chance to see the 6 minute prologue for free, a new trailer on the horizon and now a brand new poster.

the dark knight rises poster - bane - the legend endsThis poster shows Tom Hardy's Bane walking away from a crushed Batman cowl with the foreboding tagline "The Legend Ends". It looks like Christopher Nolan is going to make this a finale to remember and will not be taking things easy on Batman.

Looking back at Batman Begins and then considering the extreme jump in quality, technical ability and scope between The Dark Knight and Inception, it's safe to say that Nolan's new carte blanche status as a filmmaker could give us a bold, original and resoundingly epic conclusion to one of the unlikeliest mega-blockbuster trilogies ever made.

When he isn't writing for the prestigious site you currently find yourself reading, Andrew is busy either writing for EatSleepLiveFilm or posting pictures of dogs in hats on Facebook. He fell in love with movies after a double-bill of The Empire Strikes Back & Return of The Jedi at the tender age of four. His favourite film is Goodfellas, his favourite director is Martin Scorsese, his favourite actor is Paul Newman. Caught you off guard there, eh? You were expecting Robert De Niro or something.
