Harris has recently been starring in TV’s Mad Men and will shortly also be seen in the next Sherlock Holmes movies ‘A Game of Shadows’. Variety confirm that he will join a cast already boasting such luminaries as Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Strathairn and Daniel Day-Lewis as honest Abe himself.
The movie has long been a labour of love for Spielberg and great things are expected. The plot is based on the book “Team of Rivals” by historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and focuses on Lincoln’s rise to power and his role in the American Civil War. The film should be ready for release in 2012.
