Boasting a cast of Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, Rupert Sanders' Snow White is set in a more Middle Earth-esque world with battles and magic in equal measure.
Though there is no glimpse of the dwarves just yet, we do see Hemsworth's Hunstman in both warrior and scowl modes whilst Stewart mainly runs away from various things. However, it's Theron's Evil Queen who takes centre stage here, establishing the plot through a conversation with her rather creepy mirror that she must eat the heart of Snow White in order to live forever.
With a powerful soundtrack and some interesting imagery, Snow White and the Huntsman looks promising and it is good to see that fairy tales are finally being taken to their darker, more disturbing roots. The film arrives in the UK on 1st June.
