Lost in The Multiplex

If you were to ask us what the film left to come in 2011 that we're most excited for is, most of us would probably say The Adventures of Tintin. However, the correct answer for this is Drive, and as such we've managed to run into some new banners and a soundtrack sampler for Nicolas Winding Refn's opus.

First of all, Empire have seven awesome new banners for the film, showing scenes and actors from the film including Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston and of course Ryan Gosling. Not to mention the delectable Christina Hendricks.

However, Lakeshore Records have also thrown a sampler of the soundtrack up on YouTube. I'd be lying if I said I was familiar with people such as The Chromatics, Kavinsky and College, however they all sound pretty damn great, with a Jan Hammer vibe to it which is helped by the portions of Cliff Martinez's score, following on from his great work for films like Traffic and Solaris. You can listen to the sampler here, and it'll also give you a link for the soundtrack at iTunes.

Drive is released on September 23. As if you can't tell, we can't fucking wait.

Official Brian Blessed impersonator Charlie Brigden could previously be found waxing lyrical at websites such as C.H.U.D. and Den of Geek, mostly about his two great loves: film scores and horror movies. His favourite movie is Blade Runner, he worships daily at the altar of Jerry Goldsmith, and is fully unrepentant in his love for both Star Trek 5 and Jaws 3-D.
