What is there to say about these images? Well, the mo-cap suggests that the foe that Captain America is doing battle with is going to be entirely rendered in CGI. It also looks like we’re going to be treated to some futuristic weaponry if that funky rifle is anything to go by.
I have mixed feelings about the film. The first Iron Man and (to my surprise) Thor were excellent fun whereas Iron Man 2 and Captain America were less successful. The teaser trailer at the end of Cap was pretty disappointing, but there wouldn’t have been much in the can that could have been drawn upon. Joss Whedon was a great choice as director and, given his presence, I’m cautiously optimistic. The Avengers hits screens on May 4, next year.
