Lost in The Multiplex

Wow, It's A (Cat) Woman

05 Aug

Well, we recently got our first glimpses of Bane and Miranda Tate from Batman threequel The Dark Knight Rises, so it was probably expected that we'd catch a sneak peek of Anne Hathaway's Catwoman.

Amazingly, it wasn't from a set report leak but an official photo, although we got a better look from other sources later. The official photo as released by Warner Bros. shows a rather hi-tech Selina Kyle, wearing the tight leather outfit we'd expect but also a pair of glasses not unlike a 2011 version of the goggles worn by Ray Stantz in Ghostbusters.

She's also riding the Batpod, which might have seemed strange at first. However, it's clear that the shot is from the Pittsburgh shoot, where further photos of what seems to be a stunt double show Catwoman seemingly escaping in the tumbler.

It seems with these images, the internet is currently doing its usual doom and gloom, but there are three reasons why there is no reason to worry: 1: Batman Begins; 2: The Dark Knight; 3: Christopher Nolan.

The hi-res photo can be seen here at Slashfilm, while the set photos can be seen at Just Jared. The Dark Knight Rises is released in Summer 2012

Official Brian Blessed impersonator Charlie Brigden could previously be found waxing lyrical at websites such as C.H.U.D. and Den of Geek, mostly about his two great loves: film scores and horror movies. His favourite movie is Blade Runner, he worships daily at the altar of Jerry Goldsmith, and is fully unrepentant in his love for both Star Trek 5 and Jaws 3-D.
