Giving us more of a look at Sean Penn's very angry crime lord Mickey Cohen, the trailer sets up what appear to be the two main strands of the movie; Josh Brolin's quest to take down Cohen and Ryan Gosling joining the fight whilst romancing Emma Stone's gangster's moll.
It will be interesting to see if the re-shoot related delay will impact on the hype around Gangster Squad, but if this trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be a real hard-boiled treat.
Also starring Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie, Nick Nolte and Michael Pena, Gangster Squad will be released on January 11th.
