The costumes look good, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) can already play an evil, vindictive queen so probably has the chops to play an evil, vindictive drug dealer. Also, apparently the titular character Judge Dredd doesn’t remove his helmet throughout the film, staying true to his comic book roots in 2000AD.
The only thing I can’t help but notice is the similarity between this and the story line of the excellent, recently released The Raid - Cops go into a building full of armed criminals, armed criminals are given the opportunity to kill said cops for a reward, violence and mind-blowing action ensues.
The action and fight scenes in The Raid were amazing, so Dredd certainly has a lot to live up to, but from the previous trailers and this latest clip (plus the comics creator – John Wagner, giving his seal of approval to the movie) it seems we may have one last great comic book adaptation to look forward to this summer.
