Daniel Day-Lewis Gets Prolific In This First Poster for Spielberg's Lincoln

Following the immense praise for the first look at Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln from Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated Presidential biopic, Lincoln, comes a new poster that gives us even more of the Oscar winner's near mythic presence.

It's a beautiful poster; simple, clean but striking. It relies entirely on the magnetic pull of Day-Lewis and it is wise to do so, this poster captivates without being flashy or cluttered.

Lincoln is based on the novel “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns Goodwin, and follows the iconic President during his tumultuous final months in office, in the midst of the Civil War.

Aiding Daniel Day-Lewis is a hugely talented supporting cast of Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones.

Lincoln will be released in the US November 9th and in the UK 25th January 2013.

I think this will be a great epic of a movie. DDL will just add to it, along with Spielberg obviously. 2 powerhouses. The cover art looks amazing and is very similar to pictures of Abraham Lincoln. I always find it great when some of these biographic movies use actors that look like the character they are portraying
