The story of two loyal LAPD beat cops who inadvertently put themselves in the crosshairs of a Mexican Cartel from the writer of Training Day is bound to be a nerve-shredding experience and the new trailer lends further support that notion.
The visual style intrigues me. At times it appears to be found footage and others it has an excess of POV shots and dizzying shaky cam action scenes - it feels like a visual assault, throwing you headlong into absolute chaos, and that excites me.
A lot of action directors struggle to reconcile content with style, this looks like the wild and unpredictable use of camera angles could be backing up an equally wild and unpredictable story.
