Based on the plot of Mark Millar’s Kick-Ass 2 comic, it deals with a world now full of real-life pseudo superheroes inspired by Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) in the original story. Christopher Mintz-Plasse is on villain duties as his Red Mist character aims to avenge the death of his father by forming an evil gang and becoming The Motherfucker. The extent to which Butler’s parent character will feature in the storyline is unknown.
Faison, best known to audiences as Turk in Scrubs, is set to star as Dr Gravity. He is a copy writer during the day who moonlights as the leader of a superhero group featuring many jaded people inspired to become heroes by the actions of Kick-Ass.
More news is beginning to flood in on the movie with a casting call out for main henchwoman Mother Russia and a new Facebook page revealing the film’s first promotional image.
Kick-Ass 2 is set for a July 2013 release.
