In what is the last video of actual filming with actual actors, Peter Jackson takes us out of Middle Earth and into the much stranger world of the San Diego comic-con. If, like me, you spent last weekend under your duvet pretending you weren’t missing FOUR DAYS OF SHEER AWESOME, then you will definitely appreciate this latest offering. As well as showing us the eager crowd that welcomed him in Hall H, we are also treated to snippets previously only seen by the lucky few who were there.
We also see the final day of shooting and the inevitable soppiness that entails. Hugs all round, and so much talk of the “high quality of human beings” that it almost makes me wish I had a dwarf beard to weep into.
