So it came as no surprise that when Thomas Tull talked about the upcoming reboot of Godzilla, there was no mention of the Broderick Debacle of ’98.
Instead, he treated the attendees of SDCC to footage of a ravaged city, with a strange creature lying on the ground. Tully, and the film’s director Gareth Edwards, then talked in detail about what they had to offer.
“There’s nothing sci-fi, it’s very grounded and realistic”, Edwards added, about the film’s approach. “We’re looking at what would it be like if this all really happened?”
