Fans of right wing vigilantism rejoice – Liam Neeson is back to his friend-shooting best in Taken 2, which gets a new trailer this week.

Neeson returns as stop-at-nothing man who stops at nothing, Bryan Mills, last seen seriously injuring half of Paris in an overwhelming display of affection for his recently kidnapped daughter (he’s a great dad).

The sequel is a veritable battle of the great dads, as the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge for the death of his son at the hands of Neeson (as you do). Daddy kidnapper takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul (what self-respecting parent wouldn’t do the same?).

Bryan enlists his daughter Kim to help them escape, and uses his advanced level of special forces tactics (Good Parenting Guide, chapter 38) to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one. He’s a super guy

The sequel is directed by Olivier Megaton, who, judging by his surname, is the most actionest filmmaker ever. Taken 2 is out October 5 and also stars Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Rade Sherbedgia and Luke Grimes.
