Con Air director Simon West’s romp features virtually every actor who has ever led an action movie and at least half of their supporting cast. The team from the first film reunite for a seemingly easy job, but of course it all goes wrong and one of their own is brutally killed. Bent on revenge, the mercenaries delve into the depths of the opposing forces and perpetrate some serious mayhem.
As far as masculinity goes, this banner pretty much oozes it. The sheer amount of machismo on show is pretty astonishing and it’s clear that any of these people could take just about anyone else in a fight. It’s also probably a fairly safe bet to win the award for the most guns on a movie poster as virtually every single one of them is tooled up to within an inch of their lives.
The Expendables 2 looks to be as enjoyably mental as its predecessor and hopefully it will manage to trump even the first film for sheer stupid thrills.The Expendables 2 will be released on August 17th.
