God Bless America on Independence Day

If you're from across the pond, or just a fan of Americana, and you're looking for a way of celebrating Independence Day, why not head to the Prince Charles Cinema for the London premier of quirky black comedy God Bless America?

Written and directed by veteran actor, stand-up comic and indie movie-maker Bobcat Goldthwait, it stars Joel Murray (Mad Men, Love and War) as a hopeless loser who decides set his country back on course by offing some of the most objectionable members of society. As if its tag line “taking out the trash, one jerk at a time” isn't mouth-watering enough, there will also be a free hotdog for each ticket holder, and a Q&A with the director to round off proceedings. The event kicks off at 9 pm, Wednesday, 4th July, and tickets are available from the Prince Charles.
