Over the course of the next month our writers will be going Batman crazy. We'll have articles on our favourite Batman comics, and how they might be adapted for the screen. We will look at Batman's menagerie of villains, with a focus on those who haven't yet been immortalised on celluloid. We will mount a brave defence of Robin, and compare Bruce Wayne to Tony Stark in a battle of the superpowered billionaires. We'll pay special attention to the Bat's arch enemy, the almost peerless Joker, and look at the actors who have brought his distinct brand of madness to the screen. There will be a special edition of Keeping Score, with Charlie looking at the various OSTs through the years. And, finally, we will review every Batman film, from his '66 debt to the glistening, high tech The Dark Knight and, of course, The Dark Knight Rises itself.
It's the most ambitious piece of work that we've ever attempted, and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we have enjoyed writing it.
Check back on 25 June for the first piece in the series - a review of Batman (1966).
