It’s a small mercy that we got to see the hi-res, official, professionally shot photo first, because if these had been our first glimpse, I would have been a little more worried. The costume’s intriguing, hinting at a slightly less terrifyingly evil Maleficent than we’re used to, with green robes rather than the familiar black and purple.
From far away and in a blurry photo, Jolie doesn’t look half as striking, but those horns still make an appearance.
Maleficent will hit our screens in March in 2D and 3D, and features a largely British supporting cast, including Imelda Staunton and Miranda Richardson. Until then, I’m going to start a campaign for Maleficent to turn into Jim Rash instead of a crow during the movie. Whose with me?!
