If you've been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks, you may have missed the bombardment of The Dark Knight Rises advertising that has been hitting us from all sides. But never fear! You can now catch up on your own terms, because Warner Bros. are asking you to create your very own TV spot for the film.

In collaboration with Chrysler, the studio are holding a contest for users to edit their own 25-second TV spot with assets available from the website "Imported from Gotham City". Your finished entry must also advertise Chrysler brands alongside the promotional material for The Dark Knight Rises.

The winner will be chosen by Christopher Nolan and receive a trip to New York for the red carpet premiere of film. There's no guarantee that the winning entry will actually appear on television, but considering the amount of publicity the film has received so far, it wouldn't be at all surprising if the TV spot made an appearance.

If you really have been under the afore-mentioned rock, The Dark Knight Rises is the final instalment of Christopher Nolan's trilogy, starring Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Caine and will be hitting cinemas on 20th July.

You can enter the contest here. Warning: Only available to residents of the United States because Batman is a xenophobe.

Would you like to write about film? Would you like access to exclusive press screenings and review copies of movies weeks before they come out? Would you like your thoughts to be read by thousands of readers? If you would, we're looking for strong new writers. Drop us a line at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
