That may seem a touch on the snide side, the video may be labeled as #9 but I can't really vouch for that based on the staggering number of poorly edited fan-made videos flooding YouTube.
The marketing campaign on The Dark Knight Rises is running rampant but, unlike The Amazing Spider-Man, the spots released for this much-hyped blockbuster don't feel like they have revealed 80% of the movie. The Dark Knight Rises spots are mostly about mood and not communicating any concrete story or character arcs (assuming the film contains these things, fingers crossed), which is always preferable. The mood of this latest video?
Boom.
In that respect, it delivers. This is an intense, action-heavy piece and is the best example so far of selling this movie as an action spectacle worthy of standing against a certain other successful superhero blockbuster.
