This International Resident Evil: Retribution Poster Failed Geography

13 Jun

More undead news! Feast your eyes on an alleged new poster for Resident Evil: Retribution from the sunny shores of Spain.

Resident Evil Retribution - International PosterThe original source promises its legitimacy and it's hard to argue, as most Resident Evil sequel art has shared the same level of not-so-subtle Photoshop flair.

The globe hopping aspect is on show here with a burning Big Ben, some random volcano or mountain, a suspension bridge with an American flag, and what I think is the Kremlin, all no doubt under Umbrella's siege of corporate carelessness.

As for the figure in the way of everyone's view; Alice, the franchise's one constant, played by director Paul WS Anderson's other half Milla Jovovich, is decked out in the same sort of Underworld Evolution gear that tends to signify more of a "techie" setting, rather than previous film's more post-apocalyptic backdrop.

The length of chain she is brandishing may prove to be the most interesting part of the story considering how thin the current synopsis is.

The film opens in the UK on September 28th 2012. Click the poster to enlarge.

Callie is well on her way of fulfilling her ambition of becoming the human version of IMDB. Her favourite film is arguably Happiness by Todd Solondz, South Korea seems to innately know how to please her with their cinematic output and she denounces fanboys preferring some objectivity to genre film opinions. She spends her time defending and lamenting horror, worshipping John Waters, hunting down controversial and banned titles. She also likes Driving Miss Daisy without irony.
