This is the premise of The Imposter, a new documentary that has screened at Sundance, SXSW and is due to play Edinburgh Film Festival on the 22nd and 30th of June.
The true crime genre is one of the more compelling subsets of the documentary. It's certainly my favourite and one of the more prone to narrative storytelling, The Imposter looks to be a fine example of that, with its mix of stylishly shot re-enactments and probing interviews. I can't wait to finally see it.
