Django Unchained follows the exploits of Django (Jamie Foxx), a freed slave who teams up with bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to rescue his wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), from evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).
The images highlight Foxx's Django against DiCaprio's Candie and Watlz's Schultz. In a delightful added bonus for Spaghetti Western fans, the appearance of Franco Nero, the original Django in a cameo role (see top image). Another image shows Tarantino himself framing up a shot of Django's pistol, which is a classic Spaghetti Western trope.
A trailer is set to premiere before Prometheus (although I assume they mean the US release, which is a week later than the UK), so we will soon get our first full-motion glimpse of Tarantino's quick-draw opus.
