20 Apr

Cannes 2012

It’s that time of year again. The Cannes Film Festival has announced the line-up for its 2012 event at a press conference in Paris yesterday morning.

Among the list are some of this year’s biggest names including Terrence Malick and David Cronenberg, as well as a number of previous festival favourites such as Michael Haneke, Ken Loach, Cristian Mungiu, Alain Resnais, Carlos Reygadas, Matteo Garrone, Jacques Audiard and Abbas Kiarostami.

With films including the upcoming Cosmopolis starring Robert Pattinson, John Hillcoat’s Lawless starring Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf, and Walter Salles adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road starring Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Tom Sturridge, Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst, the festival is undoubtedly celebrating the best in film this year.
