The new Indonesian action movie from Gareth Evans is being hailed as a modern genre masterpiece, the praise is unanimous and passionate, and the trailers certainly suggest a film that will deliver on that hype.
In that spirit, Australian distributors Madman Films, have released a poster that lays out in plain English exactly what you will be getting when you buy a ticket for this movie. One minute of romance, one hundred minutes of violence. Action fans often gripe about the concessions made on blockbuster entertainment, shoehorning in love interests where they do not belong, ruining the pace of the action. The Raid looks set to dispense with such frivolities and just stick to what we want: Ass-kickings, and plenty of them.
The Raid will be released in UK cinemas on May 18th.
