So you can consider me reasonably excited by the prospect of the second attempt to bring Mega-City One's most feared lawman to our screens. My enthusiasm attaches mostly to the fact that Alex Garland - a very comic literate writer - has produced the script. I am also encouraged by the way Karl Urban fills out Dredd's uniform - and, most importantly, his helmet. Let's hope they stay true to the canon and make sure he leaves it on. We don't want to see his face...
Pete Travis directs and Vanishing Point was an interesting enough film.
There is definitely enough in the mix here to hope that we might get a better attempt this time around.
