A first poster and synopsis have been released for the British thriller Tower Block, starring Sheridan Smith, Jack O’Connell and Russell Tovey. It comes from the pen of Doctor Who and Torchwood writer James Moran. Synopsis and poster after the jump.

With the likes of Prometheus, TDKR and The Amazing Spider-Man now upon us, it’s very easy to forget just how badly 2012 started out for us cinephiles. Two of the year’s very worst examples of cinematic excrement are available on shiny disc this week and I really can’t begin to stress enough just how little they warrant your attention.

Hellboy fans rejoice, Guillermo Del Toro has confirmed that a third Hellboy movie is very much on the cards. Hall H at Comic Con this year is the domain of the superhero, with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and even Ant-Man being major talking points. But that lot are quite frankly pussies when compared to Sylvester Stallone and co: the mighty Expendables. Ahead of the imminent release of Simon West’s Expendables 2, they litup Hall H with muzzle flash, explosions and gruff-voiced machismo.
