It’s been announced that Sir Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to join the cast of the sequel to the 2010 Bruce Willis action movie, Red.
There are certain words it’s hard to avoid when reviewing a Wes Anderson movie, such as quirky, eccentric and whimsical, but it’s just hard not to when he makes films that are so gosh darn quirky, eccentric and whimsical. With Moonrise Kingdom though, he may harness his usual bag of tricks and deliver a film in his trademark auteur style, but there’s a tremendous tenderness and sincerity in the film’s story that for me sets it up there with the very best of his output.
Samuel L Jackson has been added to the already impressive cast of Jose Padilha’s Robocop reboot. Jackson will play Pat Novak, a media mogul whom I suspect might not have Alex Murphy’s best interests at heart. Jackson has charisma to spare and I can very easily see him filling the shoes of a Rupert Murdoch-esque oligarch with designs on the Robocop technology.

There’s a lot of superhero news floating around at the moment; having a film smash box office records will do that, as the rest of Hollywood smells what sells and struggles to find a space on the bandwagon. The Wonder Woman project has been on the go in one form or another since the latest round of comic book adaptations started to do such good business, and it hasn’t always been a smooth ride.
I thought my excitement surrounding Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained had plateaued comfortably but, having seen the brand new trailer I must accept that there is no limit to my excitement for this movie.
