The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2011 8

With the release of David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo only days away (26th December), iTunes have released an eight minute long trailer for the English remake of this Swedish triller, and you can also download six tracks from the films score.

Marvel Studios have released a new German trailer and two universal stills for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers this week, showing some new footage for the superhero comic book adaptation.

Prometheus

In a couple of days time the first trailer for Ridley Scott's highly anticipated return to sci-fi will be unleashed.

In the mean time, Scott has stoked up the anticipation for Prometheus with the release of an interview with Filmophilia.

With his constant teases of it having the DNA of the Alien films, without actually being an Alien film, the director has had the interweb all afroth. But now he's expanded on that somewhat.

the dark knight rises bane batman

Finally, a non-bootleg, HD copy of the much-anticipated second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is here!

The official website for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man reboot has gone live this week , revealing a bunch of brand-new images, as well as the official synopsis and character descriptions, which promise that this film is the first of several in the works.

Eva Green has been eyeing up the title role in Noam Murro's 300 sequel, Battle of Artemisia, THR reported this week.

New Line Cinema has released the debuting trailer and poster for Hairspray director Adam Shankman's new musical adaptation, Rock of Ages, this week.

Who ya gonna call? If this wildly unsubstantiated rumour is, in fact, true then probably not Bill Murray if you're the producers of Ghostbusters 3.

JIRO-DREAMS-OF-SUSHI-Trailer

85 year-old Jiro Ono runs Sukiyabashi Jiro, a tiny sushi restaurant squirreled away in a Tokyo subway station - having spent most of his life in the pursuit of creating the perfect sushi, Jiro-san has recently received a 3 star Michelin review for his culinary genius, and the restaurant has been gaining in notoriety worldwide ever since.

Jiro-san is considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef and he has set the bar incredibly high for his son, Yoshikazu, to follow in his footsteps. Director David Gelb has taken it upon himself to create a documentary based on the life and works of Jiro-san, and the relationship between father and son, creating Jiro Dreams of Sushi, his feature film debut.

The first poster for Ridley Scott's latest, Prometheus, has arrived and I can safely say that that is one giant head. Promotion for the film is starting to increase with the pictures that arrived last month so hopefully a trailer won't be far away.
