Date: February 2012

As a distinctive Mexican actor whose presence is most keenly felt in the 'World Cinema' section of your local DVD shop, Gael Garcia Bernal has worked with a who's-who of Hispanophone film-makers, including the likes of Pedro Almodóvar, Alfonso Cuarón and Alejandro González Iñárritu. With Bernal's high profile set to receive yet another welcome boost through a 2013 role alongside Al Pacino (in Jonathan Jakubowicz's boxing biopic Hands of Stone), the 33-year-old is certainly beginning to turn heads at major studio level.

Whilst the news was announced earlier this month, over at the Multiplex we are yet to report on the news of Sam Raimi's re-telling of the classic Wizard Of Oz adventure.
