With The Incredibles becoming the highest selling DVD in 2005 (17.38 million copies), a sequel must have been in everyone's minds from the beginning. Brad Bird, the ﬁlm's director, expressed an interest to do an Incredibles 2 back in 2007 but his fear of not living up to expectations held him back. Bird wanted a sequel that paralleled the likes of Toy Story 2.
